A lot of people say that they don't have time to do this or to do that, yet they go off and do things like watch a little t.v. or go onto the computer.
It confuses me because I am

Atlantic
My favorite band is Keane because what they sing is to me somewhat entrancing and I love the lyrics they write. I also really like their style. This is one of my favorite songs by them from their second album.
Atlantic
I hope all my days
Will be lit by your face
I hope all the years
Will hold tight our promises
I don't wanna be old and sleep alone
An empty house is not a home
I don't wanna be old and feel afraid
I don't wanna be old and sleep alone
An empty house is not a home
I don't wanna be old and feel afraid
And if I need anything at all
I need a place
That's hidden in the deep
Where lonely angels sing you to your sleep
The modern world is broken
I need a place
Where I can make my bed
A lover's lap where I can lay my head
Cos now the room is spinning
The day's beginning
I could listen to Keane for hours. :D

Meteor (sp?) Shower/Mexico
I convinced my mom to take Catie and I, and also Nora, to the meteor shower. I'm really excited because I love it. It is a very beautiful thing to witness. Most people would call them Shooting stars because thats what they see on tv. I also love beautiful landscape because I love camping/the mountains. I don't know what else to say. México was beautiful too.
I don't think people appreciate our world as much as they should. Sadly I have friends that have never been camping before in their lives. Its not their fault. I think that everone should be given an oppurtunity to experience something else besides constantly seeing wires in the sky, a wierd glow thats caused by lights from the city, the constant buzz of cars driving or trolley's running, or buildings that block the view to much prettier things. Our world is very beautiful. I am lucky to have had a chance to experience some of it and hope to exxperience it on occasions for the rest of my life.
I think the most beautiful place I have been to is México. Most people that live in San Diego judge México by Tijuana. Its a shame because not all of México is like that. México has touched me in a way that I cannot explain. I can only guess how. The United States is a good and country that grants many opporunities but in some ways is very artificial. Everyone, including me, often forget that the rest of the world exists. They get caught up with whats going on only around them.
When I went to Morelos, we traveled all over the place. We were on a bus for at least 3 hours a day. The cultural atmosphere and the beautiful landscape greatly attracts me. When I came home I was confused. I felt like I had been living in México all of my life and someone decided to take me and throw me into someone else's body who had a life in the United States. It almost felt like depression. Its a really wierd and creepy feeling. I felt like that in the fourth grade too after spending a month in Guadalajara. I wanted to go back to México. It was where I was supposed to be, but my family and life is in the U.S. Its really hard to explain but I felt like both places were important to me. Of course the U.S. is because it is where I grew up but I really loved being in México.
I could go on about how I felt lonely and isolated from my own family because I felt like they were strangers and how I kept telling myself that I was crazy because I felt like I had been taken away from a place that felt like home but that could go on forever. I can't say that I am hardcore Méxican and proud to be because I still have a lot to learn about their history and cultural history and I have been raised in the United States. BUT I can certainly say that México is a beautiful place that facinates me and I hope to live there for a short period of time in my life.

Paper Mache
For my Christian Life Themes class we are doing a project. We got to decide whether we wanted to write a paper or do an art project/video. I would have loved to do the video but I don't have enough time right now. You are probably thinking to yourself, 'Why is she writing in her blog instead of doing that?". Well I woulld write in my journal every day but its a little slower and I just finished my homework. Its to late to get a good amount of sleep so I'm typing here right now.
Anyway, I decided to do the art project. Its kind of hard to explain the whole project itself so basically, it needs to reflect who you have become, who would you like to be later on in life. Its all supposed to reflect the service hours that I have done in the past. I would like to get more but I don't know if that will happen.
Currently I am making a paper mache kid. It sounds kind of creepy but it looks pretty cool so far. I have done the head and the body and most likely on Saturday I will do the arms and legs. The body is pretty much a circular thing because I used a happy birthday helium balloon. I am goin to cut the body section in half the long way so that you can see the inside of the child and then I am going to fill the child with happy things.
I really like this paper mache thing. My sister has been helping me. I wouldn't mind if someone said, "Hey. Do you wanna come over and paper mache a balloon sometime?" I would have no problem whatsoever. Its pretty relaxing I think. I have practically no time this weekend and yet I am typing here and now. My mom is going to buy the long balloons that clowns use for my child's arms and legs. I hope Catie can help me on Saturday night. I need those arms and legs.....I am really wierd....Why hasn't it rubbed off onto anyone else? :D Just kidding, I like it.

Don't Understand
There are a couple of things I don't understand and so here are a few of them.
Jewelry. Why do girls like jewelry so much? I'm normal I'm pretty sure. I'm straight and I'm not a tomboy. Yes jewelry is glittery and it sparkles and its 'really really pretty' but I can decorate something that I own with glitter from Michaels and it would give the same shine. This leads into the whole fake designer thing. I could buy a fake diamond necklace and it would look 99.99% the same as a real one. The same goes for fake purses. I think that girls fear the unrealistic when it comes to this. This is what I think they fear.
Girl 1: *Has a nice expensive looking purse .*
Girl 2: *Looks over at girl 1 and her nice purse. Suddenly gets up and runs over to girl number 1 and examines her purse. A look of disgust overcomes her.* "THAT PURSE IS FAKE!! You are a disgrace to all of purse holding girls and awesome REAL purses!"
*Girl 2 hits girl number one and walks away. Girl 1 starts crying and realizes that her life is now over.*
Cheese and Crackers people. This will never happen so get over it and buy the fake purses. Oy.
Here are a couple of things about guys that I don't understand.
Their cars. Why do they like them so muuch. Why do they think that, the better the car they have, the hotter the girl will like them? I don't care if the guy I like even has a car. AND the pants. Pull them up P.I.M.P.s because it looks stupid.
This was a very angry entry. I apologize.
Be happy. :D

Dishes
It is officially my duty or responsibility to wash the dishes and put them away. Of course I am allowed to ask my sister for help if I want to. One of our latest conversations went a little something like this.
brb.... party for my mum.
Okay. Back. Here goes. p.s. Catie and I are never mad at each other during this. A lot of it is somewhat sarchastic. Ha.
Nena: Catie its your turn to do the dishes because I did them last time.
Catie: What? How come I always have to do the dishes on the days that Esthela doesn't come? You get the easy days.
Nena: Ha. No I don't. You just don't want to do the dishes.
Catie: Whatever. *she said that all gangsta lol*
Nena: Fine I'll do the dishes tomorrow which is wednesday and Esthela comes on Wednesday AND I'll do them on Thursday when she doesn't come. Okay?
Catie: Fine.
*Catie does the dishes that night. I do the dishes (a fair amount of them might I add) on Wednesday and Thursday. Catie somehow got out of doing them on Friday and along comes Saturday. My mom decided that Saturday night would be the night to make homemade pizza. There are, I'll be honest with you, a lot of dishes but Catie and I had a deal. What she said next made me laugh so hard.*
Nena: *Helping clean up the kitchen while Catie stands doing nothing by the sink. I can tell she doesn't want to do the dishes.* Catie its your turn to wash the dishes.
Catie: *sighs*
Nena: I did them on Wednesday and Thursday. *I start laughing at the look on Catie's face.*
Catie: *Turns her head towards me and looks at me.* How come....whenever I have to do the dishes we have a huge feast. And whenever you do the dishes, the family decides to fast like its Lent or something.
Nena: Lent. *I start laughing really really hard. I fall to the floor and repeat what she said.*
I thought it was hilarious. :D
p.s. Nena is me because Catie couldn't pronounce my name when she was little and reduced it to 'nena'.
.:ha:.

Three Fridays and Two Saturdays
On Wednesday I had a half day. We usually only have half days on Fridays so it felt like a Friday. Wednesday was Friday number 1. Friday number 2 was yesterday which was really Thursday. It felt like a Friday because it was the last school day of the week. Today is Friday number 3 because it really is Friday. Today was also Saturday because usually my mom tutors on Saturdays but she tutored today which is Friday. So today was Friday number 3 and Saturday number 1. Tomorrow is the real Saturday so it will be my 2nd Saturday.
There you go. Three Fridays and two Saturdays.
Sadly I have nothing to do this weekend either. I need more friends. :P
I am reading this book called Mary, Bloody Mary and its pretty good. Its based on Henry VIII daughter's life. The author wrote it from the perspective of Mary. Obviously the author doesn't know everything that happened in her life, but its interesting how she fills in the holes based on everything that really did happen in Mary's life. So far she has been betrothed 3 times. Once when she was two, once when she was 6, and currently she is 11 and is betrothed to a 26 year old. Its pretty gross when you think about it. Thats the way it went though. Probably every marraige back in that time would today be considered illegal or perverted. It would stink to not be able to choose who you want to marry.
Even today, sadly, people have the choice and almost half divorce later on. I hope I will never have to do that. About 50 years ago people wouldn't even think about divorce. It was most definitely less common.
I don't know what else to say.

Afraid
I am afraid of a lot of things.
One thing I am afraid of, is losing my faith in God. If I didn't have God, then who and what greater power would I depend on? No one can deny that there is a greater power of some sort beyond what we can imagine. This greater power faces us everyday and yet we ignore it. For example, things that do not end. Numbers do not end. they are infinite. Infinity brings up many questions.
Before earth there was space. How did that space come to be? It didn't just pop up out of nowhere and decide that it would start the universie. Someone or something had to start it. I wonder about this every day.
If we travel at the speed of light, then time slows down for us but we would not notice. This proves that time is very complex. When I get bored in class, I start thinking more and more about it and some of what I think cannot be put into words. Sometimes it scares me and other times it fascinates me.
I am also afraid of not being loved. Which is a really wierd thing because I know there are a lot of people who do love me. I wish I could take everyone's lonliness away so that they would never have to feel it again. When I transfered schools after the third grade, I lef tall of my friends behind. This was the third time that I had moved. I was always lonely. I didn't have any friends. I made one but she stopped hanging out with me after awhile. I would go to the library everyday at break and at lunch because I didn't have anyone to play with. I even remember certain people making fun of me. I hated it. That feeling of lonliness, at least friend wise, was horrible. I evetually made some new friends a few years later but ever since then, I have been afraid of being alone once again.

If I Had a Million Dollars
My brother had to write a paragraph on what he would do with a million dollars. It is too funny. It is typed exactly as he wrote it.
If I had a million dollars I would be fair, and give to the poor. I maybe take a cruise to south korea. I build a city and a munument in the middle of the city. Just in case if I die so the kids in the future would remember who built the city. and hide my million Dollars in a chest at eygpt in the sypinx of Gaza. When I Die.
He is hilarious.

Tuperware
I have to smell anything I use to eat or drink. If a cup smells bad....I won't drink from it. I smell my bowls, my plates, my forks, knives, and spoons. At the moment I won't drink anything from our plastic blue cups because I recently saw my dead fish in one. If I am at a guests house I will use it even if it smells bad because that is just rude. I have no idea why I do what I do. I do a lot of wierd things. Why? I will probably never know.
I didn't have a lot of time today. bye. :D

Paris Hilton
I'm sorry but Paris Hilton needs to spend some time with Jesus himself in the flesh in order to change. Before I tell you how strongly I dislike her ways, I am going to tell you a story.
I listen to a radio show in the morning called the jef and jer shogram on star 94.1. The wife of one of the guys named Pam sat across the aisle (sp?) from Paris on a plane flight to Italy. On the air she spoke of what she observed of Paris. I know you're probably thinking that its a weak source but I believed her. So here is Pam's experience with Paris.
Paris flew with one of her friends Italy for a photo shoot and I forget why Pam was going. Anyway during the whole flight Paris simply just dropped or tossed her belongings anywhere she pleased and had the people who followed her everywhere pick them up and put them away. She also expected everyone to be paying attention to her. In the middle of the flight, and to no one in particular, she simply called out, "I have a headache! Could someone get me something!". Pam also said that Paris was very rude to the flight attendants whenever they came to her assistance.
Paris and her friend brought with them a lot of really expensive celebrity magazine's. Since Pam was sitting right across from her, she could not help but hear what Paris and her friend were talking about while looking through the magazine's. As they flipped through them they both insulted or made fun of almost every female celebrity in the magazine saying that they were too fat or too skinny or even too ugly etc. Whenever they came to a photo of Paris, they would look at it in awe and praise how much better it was than the rest of them. After that they simply tossed the magazines into the aisle(sp?) for her people to pick up.
Then they got out their huge laptops. (Cool apple ones I'm pretty sure) This part really amazed me. They googled for like an hour or so on pictures and comments on Paris. Whenever she came to comments on herself, she would brag to her friend about it.
At the end of the flight when everyone was hustling around to gather their belongings, Pam bumped into Paris and tried to start small talk.
Pam: 'So we're almost to Italy.'
Paris: *rolls her eyes* 'Uh right'
The flight attendents even apologized for Paris's behavior to those who were seated around her after the flight had ended. For these reasons and others, I strongly dislike Paris. I hope somebody will gain the courage to talk to her and help her change. She needs serious help. Not that I'm perfect either. :D
