Dear Dear

At mom's school. Bored. Thought i'd do a little writing writing writing.
Dear iPod,

You may not be the best but you do your job. At the moment, you are entertaining me. I wonder what it feels like to hold music. Oh the metaphors that just ran through my head. The idea of holding music. It sounds comforting. I wish i could hold music. I would be so tempted to eat it. OH to taste music would be amazing. I'm not sure if i would use my time to do anything else. Moving on.

Dear Empty Cans and Bottles,
When one is in need of money you become extremely valuable. I've recently been keeping an eye out. You guys like to hide out in random places. Under desks, on roofs, on the street, in the livers of whales. I'm not Jonah. Just come out. Hiding is no good. Look at it this way. If you stay hidden then you stay there and rot and disinegrate alone. If you come with me, you get to go with a bunch of friends into a bag, which is basically a party. Then! you get to be taken to the recycling center and compressed with your friends and sent away to a place where they clean you up, re-melt you, and make you into a nice new bottle again. Doesn't that sound nice? Your fate is in your hands. Some of you can't escape so make your decisions wisely.

Dear Dear Dear,
You've become a kind of blog entry for me, where i can write my thoughts out to inanimate objects. Its kind of comforting making my thoughts concrete in this way. Keep em comin and Thank you =)

IAMX & Imogen Heap

So...I loooveeee Imogen's music. Its amazingg. Beyond amazing. But here's the thing. IAMX is also amazing. Its a weird dark synthetic popie type of thing. But its genius. I downloaded the New Album a few days ago 'Kingdom of Welcome Addiction' and its SUPERB. Beautiful and psychotic. Its truly amazing. I discovered a very sweet surprise while listening to the new album. Track number four is called 'My Secret Friend'. And guess what? I had no one to freak out about it to. I don't know anyone else who likes IAMX as much as I do besides Fraser and he doesn't like Imogen Heap, which left me to freak out on my own.

Guess WHATT???

WHAT?

IAMX FEATURES IMOGEN HEAP IN A SONG ON THEIR NEW ALBUM!!!!!!

Omg....REALLY??!

YESS!!!! Its AMAZINGG!!! And the PERFECT combination because you love Imogen Heap AND IAMX!!!!

I KNOOWW RIGHT?? OMG Mussttt listeennn.....!!!!!

Keane Concert

Okay. I'm in my second to last history class. After this one, there's one more left and then the final. I'm going to take this opportunity to talk about my Keane experience. It was far beyond words.

So we got there it was beauuufitull. It was smei-fancy looking and twice the size of soma. The carpet was blue and there were three levels that you could stand on. We stood on the lowest one of course. After we bought stuff, (I bought a shirt and a poster), we went to the middle level. We found out then that we could go even closer to the lowest level so we did that. I wanted to be as close as possible to the band i've been in love with for six years. I couldn't get over how close we were. We were like 15 feet from the stage and i can remember struggling to get within 30 feet uncomfortably to mathew from muse. We stood for the loongest time. around 7:30 the first opening band played, Helio Sequence. They were sooooo goooodd. I was only anxious and kind of annoyed because i was itchy to see Keane, but Helio was amazing. I'm deff gonna buy some of their music. The second guy was matt and he sounded exactly like Christ Martin from Coldplay. He wasn't as good as the first band but he was still really really good. The lights were variations of blue and purple and were constantly moving. It was soo pretty. The opening bands took TWO hours. TWO. It was semi-frustrating. They were lucky that their music was good because i was ready to bust a cap. So my feet were already aching like crazy and my legs hurt and i was nervous and anxious and i wanted to see keane already. And then out of nowhere they were walking out and everyone was going crazy. I don't know if crazy was a good enough word for how i reacted.

Wait hold on. Teacher is catching my attention for freaking once.

Okay false alarm. He's talking about the border. Like I've never heard about that before.....pff.

So i saw the four of them walking on and i could NOT contain myself. I started shaking and screaming like a pathetic groupie who's life revolved around worshiping them. Only my musical life revolves around them of course along with other music. Muse and Keane were competing in my stats for awhile but Keane pulled through. I was in shock as Tom Chaplin walked up to the mic and smiled at all of us. Tim took the piano of course. Jesse, a substitute for a computer they used to use, took the bass and richard the drums. The background light was a rich rich blue and brought out the blue triangles in the blue bakcdrop they had. The backdrop was the pattern that they have on the cover of Perfect Symmetry. Tom was wearing a salmon colored shirt and a blue jacket, both of which fit him very nicely. Jesse was wearing a pick shirt with some words on it. I can't remember what it said. Richard was wearing a pink shirt too and Tim was wearing a yellow shirt. They were all wearing black jeans. All amazing. This all happened within like 3 seconds because they dove right into The Lovers Are Losing. I was acting like a freaking hippy, but i didn't care. I was singing and dancing (embarrassment) and tears escaped me during the first song. They eventually disappeared but out of happiness. I couldn't stop smiling or looking at them. Tom's haircut was perfecttt. Beyond perfect. They were all much more gorgeous in person, especially Tom. They played song after song and the quality of it was AMAZINGGG. I could hear the music and his voice distinctly and clearly. The way Tom moved on stage was just pricelesss. It wasn't dancing but it wasn't walking either. It was like he invented his own type of movement. It was amazing. He played the piano once and Your Eyes Open on the guitar alone and the rest of the time he sang. The times that he talked to the audience he was sooo sweet and outgoing and welcoming. He smiled the whole time. It was like he was as happy as we were to see him. His voice was AMAZING. Liquid pleasure to my ears and soul. Around the middle of the concert i wanted to get his attention so i threw my purple headband onto the stage. He started laughing and he kept looking at it. My heart was going crazy. I was so shocked and happy and alive with the fact that something I did he reacted to. That i influenced even if the smallest, a fraction of his life. He was smiling as he said that someone chucked something onto the stage and that it was purple and he couldn't tell whether it was a headband or something else. I was shaking and screaming...i seriously couldn't control myself. Then he TOUCHED IT and moved it to the space in front of him behind the speaker. Oh i swooooned and shook with happiness. The best part of this was that i caught it on video. Oh the memory shall lie with me forever. The only part that i wish i could take out is my constant screaming....embarrassment. I got videos of some of the songs although they don't even come NEAR to what it was like to be there in person. They ended with Bedshaped one of my favorite songs by them. Tom had us sing some parts of it. Pure Heaven. The peacefulness and the unity that we all had was amazing. Tom connected with us during the whole show. Oh it was so amazing. I totally lost track of time and i didn't notice the muscles in my legs and feet protesting and edging at a riot. I was soooo happy and high of of the music i had just experienced and my voice was pained with scratchyness. I tried to get my headband back but they wouldn't let me onto the stage. Oh well. On our way out we saw people waiting for them to come out and we did the same thing. I was already happy with the concert itself. I felt so gifted to have the opportunity to meet them. Tim came out first. Oh he was sooo nice. So classy and his accent was amazing. I asked him what his favorite color was and we talked about his experience in piano. Amazing. I even got a picture with him swoooon. Then Richard came out along with Jesse. Richard wasn't taking pictures but he was still extreeemly nicee. We got to talk to him too. He had smiley faces on his drumsticks haha. Then we talked to jesse and we talked about the shirt he was wearing and where he buys his clothes en stuff. Loved it. I got a picture with him too. Jesse, Richard, and Tim all signed my poster. Then TOM CAME OUT. Ohh jeeez. I was stalking him while he was talking to the other people. I got a little video of that. I had to wait my turn. BUT unfortunately his manager was getting upset because they had to leave and just as he got to us he was pulled away. I was lucky to get into a blurry picture with him as he was trying to take more than one picture at once. It was unlucky but i was unable to find myself sad. I was happy that i got to be so close to him. He was standing only a few inches from me. I was happy with that. The fact that we didn't get his signature or get a clear picture with him doesn't bother me. I'm glad. I would hate to dwell over it and get angry.

The night was sooo amazing. So many years i've been listening to their music. So many times i've put sunshine or any other of their songs on repeat. So many times i've listened to them and took their music into the deepest parts of my heart and soul. IT was one of the most amazing nights of my life, and i plan on seeing them again sometime. Its worth almost any amount of money. Amazing.

Just Killing Lobsters

Dear Dear

So Brandon's internet wouldn't work today. bleh. I was re reading things he's sent me and he sent me this on my birthday. I never get tired of reading it. I feel like i don't deserve someone like this but somehow i ended up with someone who loves me like this.

"I love you soo much and I am glad that you love me. I'm sorry I can't be there with you for your birthday so you could kiss me, touch me, and express your love how you want to, I want to be there with you and spend every possible second with you... You mean more than everything and anything to me. And I can't tell you how much I love you because words cannot describe. You are the best thing that has happened to me in a long time and I love you and I am happy that you love me, and you are my heartbeat, the reason why I live. You are the only person I have loved like this and I don't know what life would've been like without you. You are the most beautiful person I know of and I am lucky to have you because you complete me. You are PERFECT to me in every possible way, and I want to do anything for you... although I can't give you the stars, or the moon, or the sky, or other amazing things in this world, I can give you all of me that I am and all my love, my whole heart... Happy birthday, darling. <3" -Brandon
